Traditional Funeral Costs 

Below you will find all the information regarding traditional funeral costs. Robert A Drew & Son is an established family owned and run funeral directors based in the village of Willerby, supporting Hull and East Yorkshire families through their time of bereavement.  

Our small dedicated team have the experience to guide and advise a family through the process of planning a funeral which reflects the individuality of their loved one.

The prices given in this brochure represent a broad spectrum of most costs relating to a funeral service. However if a requirement is not included please do not hesitate to ask us for further information.

 

TRADITIONAL FUNERAL COSTS & TERMS OF BUSINESS

We will talk through with you in full, all cost implications and provide you with a written quotation of costs once we know your requirements. We do not ask for a deposit but will ask you to sign the quote, accepting responsibility for the funeral expenses. On the reverse of this document it gives our Terms of Business. The invoice will be presented during the week following the funeral along with information on how the account may be settled.

FUNERAL PLAN REDEMPTION

It is important to check whether the deceased had a funeral plan in place. If there is a plan in place, we will talk you through what will be covered by the plan and where there may be additional costs to pay. We will provide an estimate of additional costs.

Bringing the deceased into our care

Following initial contact our team will attend and bring the deceased into our care.

During normal office hours within 25 miles

 This includes a full team of drivers and bearers.

Care & preparation of the deceased

Care of the deceased prior to the funeral in an appropriate environment. You may choose to have the deceased dressed in their own clothes or one of our gowns (colour can be chosen)

Our professional fees

From your initial contact with us you will receive a dedicated, professional and caring service. From the planning of the date and time of the service, completion of the documentation, liasing with celebrants/clergy, creating a press announcement and service sheets, selection of floral tributes. Looking after you during visits to the chapel of rest and conducting the funeral.

SIMPLE UNATTENDED FUNERAL

Provisions of funeral services and making all arrangements for the cremation/burial

Advice on the certificate and registration of the death

A coffin suitable for cremation/burial – usually a cardboard coffin.

Collection and transportation of the deceased to our chapel of rest (within 10 miles in working hours)

Care of the deceased prior to cremation (no viewing)

Suitable vehicle to transport the deceased to the cremation/burial
